Cold weather on the way!!

With the forecast of cold weather for next week protect your more tender plants by moving into a greenhouse or cold frame or at least provide some shelter from the rain. It is prolonged soaking which finishes off quite a few plants. You can take cuttings of the least hardy plants as these will take up less space. Quite a large number have survived in the garden over the last couple of years but we cannot always rely on a mild winter, better to be safe than lose some of your most treasured plants. Large pots which need to stay outside can by grouped together and wrapped in bubble wrap, perhaps some horticultural fleece draped over them on the coldest nights.
