Look for the bright side

I always feel more optimistic once the shortest day has passed. We gardeners can now look forward to the days lenthening by around 2 minutes a day and whilst this is not very much it soon adds up over the weeks. Next year more than any other we need things to look forward to and for gardeners this is starting to sow seeds and spend more time outside. If you are lucky enough to have a greenhouse you can escape the cold, wind and rain in there. Having a positive and optimistic mind set is half the battle during the long winter months.
